important caring work of Memorial Home in Moundridge, Kansas.
The Memorial
Home Endowment Foundation (MHEF) is operated exclusively to support
the activities and purposes of Memorial Home, Inc., a Continuing
Care Retirement Community. MHEF is a 501©(3) and 509(a)(1)
organization as described in the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions
to MHEF are treated as permanently endowed gifts and are invested
by a professional fund manager at First National Bank of Hutchinson,
Kansas.
Earnings from endowed gifts will
provide needed funds to offset the operating costs of Memorial Home,
Inc. not covered by the Medicaid program. Earnings may also be used
in major capital campaigns or to meet other needs for services as
approved by the Board of Directors. The current asset policy mix
is sufficiently diversified to maintain a reasonable level of risk
without imprudently sacrificing a return.

Earnings will be distributed back to Memorial Home while the
gift principal is preserved.
